C. A. Doose & Co, inc. (dba Flintrock Builders) was established in 1895 by our CEO, Chris Doose’s great-grandfather, and over four generations of entrepreneurs (three of which were homebuilders!) it has morphed into what you see today. Chris’s Grandmother, Betty Lou Langford, built American Abstract & Title and is responsible for introducing Chris to the building industry. After building with companies like Lennar and Turner Construction, he was inspired to create something unique and found a welcoming Central Texas market. He saw the opportunity in starting a business through the depths of the Great Recession.

Since 2010, Chris has surpassed expectations by building beautiful, high-quality, and award-winning homes. Generally sweeping the Central Texas Parade of Homes and quickly building an association between First-Class and Flintrock Builders. Chris has extended his desire for excellence from the homes we build to how we treat our employees, the experience we provide for our customers, and how we interact with trade partners. We don’t do things the way they have always been done, or like anyone else, Chris’s pink Crocs serving as the perfect example. This is primarily due to us creating a culture and a product and environment centered around Millennials, the largest, most diverse, and highest-achieving generation in the history of the world.
