RETENTION

Josh Adams
Director of Construction Services

Josh Adams serves as Director of Construction Services at Flintrock Builders, bringing more than two decades of homebuilding experience across project management, purchasing, and construction leadership. He began his career at Centex Homes as a Project Manager before joining Ashton Woods Homes, where he spent nearly seven years and ultimately served as National Director of Operations Training and Development. He later held the VP of Construction role at Starlight Homes across the Austin and San Antonio markets, and gained additional perspective on builder operations through his work as Director of Business Solutions at MyHomebuilder Software. At Flintrock Builders, Josh applies that broad industry expertise to ensure every home is built to the quality standard and timeline that Central Texas families expect.

Misty Malone
Director of People & Culture (HR)

Misty serves as Director of People & Culture at Flintrock Builders, bringing more than 25 years of experience in Training, Development, and Human Resources. With degrees in Marketing Management and Management & Leadership from Western Governors University, Misty is passionate about creating a workplace where employees feel supported, valued, and empowered to grow both professionally and personally. Since joining the company in November 2025, Misty has focused on strengthening culture, communication, and employee development while helping build an environment grounded in respect, fairness, and belonging. Jason Stevens
Director of Sales

Jason Stevens serves as Director of Sales at Flintrock Builders, bringing more than a decade of new home sales leadership experience in the Central Texas market. Jason's career in homebuilding began at Lennar, where he spent nearly five years progressing from New Home Sales Consultant to Area Sales Manager in the Austin area. He went on to serve six years at Starlight Homes, holding both Director of Sales and Vice President of Sales roles across Central Texas, where he built and led high-performing sales teams during a period of significant market growth. His deep roots in the Austin-area homebuilding community, combined with hands-on experience guiding buyers through the new home process, give him a strong foundation for connecting families with the right home at the right time. At Flintrock Builders, Jason brings that expertise and energy to help more Central Texas families find attainably priced, thoughtfully designed homes in the communities they love.

Gabe Madlang
Chief Financial Officer

Gabe Madlang serves as Chief Financial Officer of Flintrock Builders, bringing extensive financial leadership experience across the homebuilding, real estate, and media industries. A CPA and strategic finance executive, Gabe has spent his career driving growth and profitability for organizations ranging from national homebuilders to large-scale publishing companies. Prior to joining Flintrock, he served as CFO of Shoreline Building Group, an ultra-luxury custom home builder in South Florida, and as Vice President of Finance at Mattamy Homes, where he supported master-planned community development across multiple Florida markets. His background spans corporate finance, operations, and strategic planning, giving him a well-rounded perspective on building financially sound, scalable organizations. At Flintrock Builders, Gabe applies that expertise to support the company's continued growth across Central Texas while ensuring long-term value for homeowners, trade partners, and the communities Flintrock serves.

Craig Langford
Director of Land Development & General Counsel

With over 10 years of experience in the legal field and more than four years in homebuilding and land development, Craig serves as General Counsel and Director of Land Development. In this role, Craig oversees internal legal matters while also identifying and evaluating raw land opportunities to support Flintrock Builders’ continued growth and lot development needs. A graduate of UTSA in Real Estate Finance and Development and St. Mary’s School of Law, Craig brings a strong foundation in both law and real estate. Known for adaptability and strategic thinking, Craig enjoys working in an industry that is constantly evolving with market and consumer demands.Having been with the company for over four years, Craig values Flintrock Builders’ culture, freedom in how work is executed, and its strong commitment to work-life balance. Desmond Graham
Chief Operating Officer

Desmond Graham serves as Chief Operating Officer of Flintrock Builders, overseeing daily operations with a focus on strategic growth, operational excellence, and delivering an exceptional client experience. He joined the company in 2019 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, later serving as Division President before being named COO in 2025. A Central Texas resident since 1993, Desmond earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from The University of Texas at Austin and began his career in the wireless industry before transitioning into real estate, where he spent more than 15 years building a reputation for leadership, integrity, and results. Today, he plays a key role in guiding Flintrock’s culture and long-term vision while helping deliver value to homeowners, partners, and the communities the company serves.

Randy Birdwell
Chairman

Randy Birdwell serves as Chairman of Flintrock Builders, providing strategic oversight, governance, and executive counsel to the company's leadership team. He brings five decades of production homebuilding experience, including 35 years serving as an owner, president, CEO, or chairman. Mr. Birdwell led Emerald Homes, an award-winning homebuilder that was acquired by D.R. Horton, where the Emerald brand was expanded into a nationally recognized luxury homebuilding brand. During his tenure with D.R. Horton, he managed $2.3 billion in assets across 12 homebuilding divisions that collectively closed 23,000 homes in a single year. A nationally recognized leader in the homebuilding industry, Mr. Birdwell is a past president of the Greater Houston Builders Association and the Texas Association of Builders. He also served as National Vice President of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and continues to serve as a Senior Life Delegate. Committed to developing future industry leaders, Mr. Birdwell served as a Professor and Senior Fellow at Texas A&M University, where he taught and mentored students pursuing careers in residential construction and real estate. In recognition of his lifetime contributions to the homebuilding industry, Mr. Birdwell was inducted into the TX Housing Hall of Honor in 2024.

A third-generation home builder and fourth-generation entrepreneur, Chris combines lifelong industry experience with a passion for innovation, quality craftsmanship, and lasting value.
